  • 2025-26 PSJA Education Foundation CTE Scholarship Application

  • Scholarship Eligibility

    Applicants must be a current, graduating senior from any PSJA ISD High School who have been accepted to an accredited trade school, vocational school, or community college in the fall immediately following graduation and be able to provide proof of enrollment.

    Selected recipients will be awarded scholarships during their school’s awards ceremony.

    To ensure eligibility for this scholarship award, students MUST complete this online form, which includes the following:

    • 500-word essay answering the following (3) questions: 
      • What are your goals and aspirations?
      • What unique opportunities or challenges have you experienced throughout your high school career that have shaped who you are today?
      • Describe any special family circumstances and or financial need.
        • Be sure to use proper grammar and punctuation. Points will be deducted as needed.
    • Resume Questions
    • Attach a school counselor evaluation form which includes your GPA, Class Rank and College Credit Hours

    *Scholarship Rubric gives applicants up to 100 total points –

    • Essay (35 pts.)
    • School Involvement/Extracurricular (10 pts.)
    • Leadership Roles (5 pts.)
    • Meaningful Achievements/Honors/Awards (5 pts.)
    • Community Involvement/Volunteer Hours (10 pts.)
    • Work (10 pts.)
    • College Hours (10 pts.)
    • GPA (10 pts.)
    • TSIA Test (5 pts.)

    **Scholarship recipients will have a check issued by the PSJA Education Foundation to the University/school of choice upon proof of enrollment (School ID and Schedule). Copies of proof of enrollment must be emailed to leticia.padilla@psjaisd.us by August 1, 2024 unless notified in writing. (Maximum deferral of scholarship: one semester).
