This Winter, Evergreen plans to again offer our Ski & Snowboard Club and Cataloochee season passes to our community. However, there are some recent changes and different options now being offered to us by Cataloochee, and we want to get a gauge on how that might affect Ski & Snowboard Club.
First, like last season, we are no longer being offered group rates for Limited or Unlimted passes--the only season pass being offered is the Night/Weekday pass. Evergreen families can still buy the Night/Weekday passes for children participating in the club or for any other household member that wants one. You can also buy passes as part of Evergreen's group rate without taking part in the club. Keep in mind the Night/Weekday passes do not include access on Cataloochee's designated Holiday dates, which encompass most of Winter Break.
Second, new this year for the club, Cataloochee is also offering a "Slope Pass" option, whereby club participants can get on the slopes on club days. This option costs quite a bit less, but also doesn't come with the ability to go to Cataloochee on other days throughout the season. It also could reduce the number of people in our season pass group rate, which could affect our logisitcs with Cataloochee.
Lastly, we are also looking into the possibility of scheduling 6 club dates instead of the recent 5, the first two of which would be December 8 and 15.
For pricing...well, we can't say for sure what pricing will be because we can't finalize plans with Cataloochee until after we get this feedback from you. However, possible price ranges for these scenarios are as such:
- Season pass only, no club participation - $315-$345
- Club + season pass for participating students - $465-$495
- Club + slope pass (only valid on our club dates) - $310-$340
And, keep in mind, none of this includes equipment or lessons.
With all of this in mind, please proceed and let us know your interest in this year's Evergreen Cataloochee Ski & Snowboard Club and Season Pass Group. One survey per household, please!
