Thanks for your interest in renting the Avening Hall. Please fill in the form below and one of our volunteers will be in touch. Please note all rentals are subject to availability. Your booking is not confirmed until a final agreement has been made by both parties and payment has been received.

The Avening Community Centre is a volunteer-run facility, and as such, renters should expect a self-serve experience. We are dedicated to ensuring the facility is ready for you but all setup, takedown, and general coordination are the responsibility of the user. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep this community space accessible and affordable.

Fee Waiver Policy: Fees may be waived at the discretion of the Avening Community Centre Board in cases of compassion or hardship. Requests for fee waivers can be submitted in writing here for the Board’s consideration.
Terms & Conditions

The Avening Community Centre is a volunteer-run facility. Renters are expected to be self-sufficient and responsible for their own setup, operation, and cleanup.
Rental deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 50 per cent must be made to confirm the booking.
Entry/key pick up

It is the responsibility of the renter to contact the booking agent no less that one week in advance of the event date to arrange entry to the facility.
Payment

The balance of the rental and service fee must be made prior to pick up of the key for daily rentals.
Alcohol - Special Occasion Permits (SOPs)

The renter is responsible for submitting an application for a special occasion permit from the AGCO if they are having alcohol at their rental event. The renter must read and adhere to the Clearview Township’s Municipal Alcohol Risk Management Policy and adhere to applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal legislation and regulations. It is the responsibility of the renter to pay the applicable fee to the AGCO for their SOP.
Liability & Insurance

Renters conducting high-risk events or business’ renting facilities are required to provide proof of insurance in the amount of $5 million dollars with the Township of Clearview named as an additional insured. A low-risk insurance guide is available on the Discover Clearview website. Please ensure that the insurer names “The Corporation of the Township of Clearview” as a third-party insured. Clean up

Renters agree to leave the space cleaner than they found it. A cleaning checklist will be provided. Failure to comply may result in loss of deposit or additional charges. The following should be considered when cleaning up from any event:• The hall should be in the same condition it was at the beginning of the rental• Tables and chairs are to be returned to their original position• The floors should be cleaned of any debris and garbage• Bathrooms should be tidied• Lights should be turned off• All windows should be shut and locked• The kitchen should be clean and in proper order• All dishes, pots and appliances should be returned to their original location• All taps should be shut off with no water running• All food, liquor, empties and decorations should be removed• All garbage and recycling should be removed and disposed of

Cancellations must be made in writing at least 30 days in advance to be eligible for an 80 per cent refund.
