Community Connects: Call for Community Gathering Proposals

Brampton Arts Organization (BAO) is seeking workshop, event, meetup, gathering, and program proposals from Brampton-based artists, curators, arts collectives, and arts administrators for networking events!
Deadline to Apply: November 23, 11:59PM, 2025

Receive from $500 up to $1000 (artist fee/s, materials and any venue costs) for your project.

BAO is thrilled to invite program, workshop, and community initiative proposals from artists, arts administrators, arts collectives, curators, creatives, performers, musicians and more from across Brampton!

If you have an existing initiative that you are trying to get off the ground, want to start a community initiative for the first time or are an artist facilitator with a community artmaking background, now is your opportunity to put your project forward!

WHAT DOES THIS PROGRAM SUPPORT? 

BAO is seeking applications for programming for artists and arts organizations in Brampton. This year we are accepting applications that focus specifically on creative community gathering, social connection, and networking.

Arts and culture program proposals for artists and arts organizations in any topic and discipline will be considered though we will prioritize projects that:
- Are by Brampton creatives for Brampton creatives
  Help creatives (you!) build their facilitation skills and programming experience
- Provide community building opportunities for artists, creatives, creative businesses and arts organizations
- Do not duplicate programs BAO is currently or has previously run
- Are submitted by applicants from (or that center programming by) equity-deserving groups, including those who identify as Indigenous, Black, People of Colour, Trans, Nonbinary, Queer, Disabled and intersections of those identities.
- Proposals must be respectful of Age, Ancestry, colour, race, Citizenship, Ethnic origin, Place of origin, Creed, Disability, Family status, Marital status (including single status), Gender identity, gender expression, Sex, and Sexual orientation as outlined in the Ontario Human Rights Code.
