    The MPA Annual Conference Committee is accepting proposals for posters for the 90th Annual MPA Conference. Please complete this form if you are interested in presenting your poster. Proposals from MPA members and nonmembers are welcome.
  • Before you begin, please ensure you have the following information and files:

    Your Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    Your abstract with sources

    Presenters will be given a 25% discount on event registration.

  • ABSTRACT

    Please provide an abstract of your project that describes the submission in enough detail, so reviewers can evaluate it effectively.

    It should include a brief description of your research study, research and statistical methods, sampling, results, conclusions, generalizability of results, any limitations of the research, and references.

    If you are at early stages of your research project and do not have results available at the time of this submission, please include the analyses you plan to use, anticipated results found and clarify the time frame for data completion.

    Posters presented already at other conferences and posters focusing on scientific literature review will be considered for this MPA Conference presentation.

    By providing a copy of this information to MPA you acknowledge you comply with APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists (see http://www.apa.org/ethics/code2002.html). Persons whose names are submitted must have given consent prior to being included.

    Poster proposals must be submitted by Thursday, January 15. Once your proposal is reviewed by the Conference Committee, a MPA staff member will contact you with their suggestions and/or next steps to present at the conference. 

    Dimensions of the poster must be 3’X4’ and on a hardback surface (cardboard, etc). Posters will be displayed on easels. 

    Presenters are expected to present their poster at the MPA Annual Conference on either April 23 or April 24 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel.

    Poster presenters who wish to attend any portion of the Annual Conference outside of the poster session must register and will receive the presenter discount of 25% off their registration rate. 

    Posters will be reviewed by a judging committee and prizes awarded to the 1st place ($200), 2nd place ($150), and 3rd place ($100).
