  • About Side By Side

Union Gallery is now seeking artwork submissions for our major annual fundraiser: Side By Side. This exhibition and lottery-style draw is an opportunity to showcase up to 4 artworks alongside fellow community members, reach new audiences, and grow your collector base.

We are seeking artworks that align with our draw’s tiered ticketing system of two price points: $100 and $200. Artwork values are set by the artists, who are invited to donate 1 artwork at 100% donation value and encouraged to submit up to 3 additional works with the option of donating 50% or 100% of the value of each.

Submissions are juried on a rolling basis by Side By Side co-curators from UG's Student-Led Fundraising Committee. All those who submit artworks will receive a reply.

Selected artworks will be displayed at Union Gallery in an exhibition open to the public for preview from January 12 to February 7, leading up to the live lottery even on February 7, 2026.

Funds raised directly support Union Gallery's non-profit work—including free admission and programs, experiential learning for students and volunteers, and growing paid opportunities for professional artists.

    Submitting Your Work

Artists are invited to submit up to four (4) "ready to hang" artworks each. Original artwork in a variety of 2D media is accepted (paintings, photographs, drawings, original prints), as well as small-scale sculptures.

    Selected artworks are due at Union Gallery by December 13, 2025 at 4:30pm. Staff will be on site to accept artwork drop-off from 11am-4:30pm: December 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.
