AUDIENCE:
This course is intended for Systems Integrators, OEMs, and other authorized business partners who install, engineer, program, and support Tridium Niagara Framework-based building automation system. End Users can compare this certification training to Niagara Opertor Training. Both courses will help end users understand and leverage Niagara in their facility.
TCP Level 1 Foundations Certification is the foundational certification for Niagara professionals and serves as a prerequisite for Niagara 4 TCP Level 2 Intermediate training. It is also recommended or required for a variety of Niagara-based certifications including Honeywell Optimizer VAV/Unitary Controller Certification, Honeywell Advanced Factory Controller Certifications, Distech Controls ECLYPSE and EC-NET Certifications, KMC Controls, Vykon and other Niagara products.
Please note: JCI FX Facility Explorer is a Niagara-licensed product with its own specialized training track. The recommended FX Niagara 4 certification is JCI N4 Technical Certification Programming (TCP).

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Design, engineer, program projects, and maintain building automation solutions using the Niagara 4 Framework. Students will create a simulated building automation solution to optimize the end-users’ experience.
Through a combination of instructor-led presentations, demonstrations, and extensive hands-on laboratory exercises, students will build and configure a simulated building automation system while learning the core concepts and tools used throughout the Niagara platform.

- Niagara 4 Workbench fundamentals
- Creating and commissioning Niagara Stations
- User management and security
- Scheduling and calendar management
- Alarm configuration and management
- History collection and trending
- Tagging and semantic data modeling
- Graphics and visualization fundamentals
- Network and device integrations
- Basic troubleshooting and system navigation
Students attending the live instructor-led format (In-Person or Virtual) will participate in four days of intensive technical training followed by the Niagara TCP Level 1 Certification Exam on Day 5. This is a very intensive training class with very little downtime. Be prepared to move fairly quickly through very technical material.
Students attending virtual training will receive information from their trainer. Plan for a pre-training technical check before training starts. If you are using a company PC, you may need your IT department to install software or enable Administrative access.
Students selecting Self-Paced Virtual Training access TCP training at their own pace in a fully self-paced, online mode with hybrid 24/7 learning support. Complete the course in a few days or take more time. Students have up to 12 months. Email trainers your questions, and/or set up a live webinar as needed to address questions or issues. Schedule certification exams based on a flexible schedule.
Successful completion of the certification test will earn a certification issued by Tridium.
