Please upload your photos and provide some details. Please specify if you are submitting photos as a student, instructor or member. If you are submitting for the December photo competition you must do so before December 31st. We will select the photo competition winner early January and the winner will receive a prize and have their photo featured in the winter 2026 issue of The Avalanche Journal.

Photo Release Agreement
By uploading photos and clicking “I Agree,” you grant the Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute the photos you submit.
You acknowledge and agree that the CAA may use these photos in any media or format, including but not limited to:
- Social media posts and campaigns
- The CAA website
- The Avalanche Journal
- Newsletters and email communications
- Online training courses and PowerPoint presentations
- Promotional or educational materials
You confirm that you are the owner of the photos or have permission from the owner to grant this release, and that the images do not infringe on the rights of any third party.

You understand that while photos may be credited when possible, credit is not guaranteed, and no compensation will be provided for their use.
