  • About the award

The Fund Executive of the Year Award recognises and rewards the work of outstanding leaders in the Australian superannuation industry. The award’s $30,000 bursary has enabled these leaders to take time away from their workplace to reflect and refine their skills at some of the world’s most renowned business schools.

FEAL welcomes nominations on behalf of a CEO, C-Suite executive or equivalent who has made an outstanding contribution to their fund/organisation and the superannuation industry. In responding to each of the criteria, nominators are encouraged to take an ‘evidence-based’ approach by clearly articulating the ways in which the nominee has responded to the specified criteria. Wherever possible, nominators should provide clear examples that illustrate how the nominee has consistently achieved against identified targets and objectives. Some of the criteria may be more relevant than others to a particular nominee. Therefore, whilst using the criteria as a guide, nominators are urged to provide as much relevant detail as space allows. Nominations must be accompanied by a one-page, written reference or endorsement from the Fund Chairperson, CEO or another individual who is closely connected with the fund and the achievements of the nominee. Every effort is made to preserve the integrity and rigor of the award nomination and selection process.
