  • Adoption / Foster Enquiry

  • At Luosko German Shepherd Dog Rescue, we’re committed to giving every German Shepherd the second chance they deserve. Whether you’re applying to adopt or foster, you’re taking the first step toward transforming a dog’s life — and we couldn’t do it without people like you. Once you’ve completed the application form, it will be sent directly to our volunteer rehoming team for review. Our team carefully reads through each application to understand your lifestyle, experience, and home environment so we can match you with a dog that best suits your circumstances.

After your form has been reviewed, one of our dedicated team members will get in touch to discuss your application in more detail and explain the next steps in the rehoming process. Please ensure that all contact details, availability, and information provided are accurate and up to date, as this helps us reach you quickly and move your application forward without delay.

Thank you for taking the time to apply and for offering your home, care, and compassion to a dog in need. Every application brings us one step closer to finding the perfect home for each of our dogs — and together, we can make a real difference in their lives.

  • As part of our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the dogs in our care, we require a copy of valid photo identification from all applicants. This step helps us verify each applicant’s identity and prevent issues such as fraud, false applications, or individuals attempting to adopt or foster who may be legally banned from keeping animals or appear on national or local animal welfare watchlists.

It’s an important measure to ensure that every dog is placed into a safe, responsible, and loving home.

You can choose to upload a clear copy of your ID (such as a driver’s licence or passport) or simply take a photo of it to attach with your application using one of the options below.

All information and documents are handled securely and kept strictly confidential in line with data protection guidelines.

  • About Your Home

  • To ensure the safety and security of our dogs, we also require proof of address from all applicants. This helps us confirm where each dog will be living and allows our team to carry out necessary checks to ensure the environment is suitable.

Acceptable documents include a recent utility bill, council tax statement, or tenancy agreement showing your full name and current address.

If you are renting your property, you will also need to provide a written letter of authorisation from your landlord clearly stating that you have permission to keep a German Shepherd at the property.

This is an important part of our process to make sure every dog is placed in a stable, approved home where they are welcome and safe.

You can either upload a copy of your proof of address and landlord letter (if applicable) or take a clear photo to attach to your application.

All documents are handled securely and remain confidential in accordance with data protection regulations.
