The grant is intended for one of the following types of programs:
- Clinical Program: The Clinical Visiting Trainee Grant is for applicants who want to expand their knowledge in movement disorders, improve their ability to recognize patterns in movement disorders, enhance their skills in diagnosing and managing movement disorder patients, and ultimately apply these clinical skills in their home country within the Pan American Section.
- Research Program: The Research Visiting Trainee Grant is for applicants who wish to develop or advance a research program, contribute to an ongoing research project, and collaborate with other researchers. The goal is to continue research efforts upon returning to their home country within the Pan American Section.
- Health Professional Program: The Health Professional Visiting Trainee Grant is for applicants who aim to enhance their knowledge in the care of patients with movement disorders, with the goal of applying these skills in their home country.
Award Details:The award amounts are approximate and intended to help cover training program expenses. The grant can support programs of the following durations:
- Six weeks: $4,645 USD
- Six months: $9,280 USD
- One year: $18,575 USD
You will be responsible for providing your own medical insurance during the training.
The VTG training must begin within six months of the acceptance notification.
