Tails for Trails
Tails for Trails is the City of Converse’s Doggy Day Out program, offering community members the opportunity to take one of our shelter dogs out for a few hours of adventure and enrichment. Participants can enjoy a 3–4 hour outing, giving our dogs a much-needed break from the shelter and a chance to experience new sights, sounds, and companionship. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and have access to a personal vehicle. For everyone’s safety, we ask that participants avoid dog-to-dog introductions and refrain from visiting any off-leash areas during the outing.
