Access & Security

Studio Access: Check-in instructions will be provided prior to your booking date.

Security Cameras: Glaslyn Atelier is monitored by video surveillance for the safety of all guests.

Accessibility: The studio is not wheelchair accessible at this time.

Guests: Maximum occupancy is 12 individuals. A liability waiver must be signed on behalf of all participants.

Cleanliness & Maintenance

Studio Condition: Clients must leave the studio in the same condition in which it was found. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the space is left excessively dirty or disorganized.

Damage Deposit: A refundable $150 damage deposit is required for all bookings without active liability insurance. This deposit covers accidental damage, loss, or misuse of equipment and is refunded after the studio inspection, provided no issues are identified.

Pets: Allowed with prior approval and a refundable deposit. Please submit requests to bookings@glaslynatelier.ca.

Food & Beverages: Food and beverages are permitted. All waste must be disposed of in the appropriate receptacles. Alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Furniture & Décor: Clients may rearrange furniture and décor during their session but must return all items to their original locations before leaving.

Equipment & Storage

Included Items: Standard bookings include access to studio furniture, lighting equipment, backdrops and stand.

Personal Equipment: Clients may bring their own equipment, provided it is insured. No equipment may be left on site without prior approval. Storage requires a signed Personal Property Agreement and may be subject to a storage fee.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Policy: Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the booking time to qualify for a refund.

Conduct & Safety

Noise & Conduct: While Glaslyn Atelier is a stand-alone building, clients are expected to respect nearby residents. Prohibited activities - including smoking and alcohol consumption on site, is not allowed. Violations will result in immediate termination of the session without refund and may lead to permanent loss of booking privileges.

Fire & Safety: Smoking, candles, and open flames are strictly prohibited.

Restricted Materials: Glitter, paint, and strong fragrances are not permitted.

Safety Equipment: A first aid kit and fire extinguisher located near the entry way door.

1. Assumption of Risk

The Renter and all Participants acknowledge that the use of Glaslyn Atelier’s premises, equipment, furnishings, and facilities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, or property damage. These risks may arise from the use of lighting equipment, backdrops, props, furniture, or general movement during photo sessions. The Renter and Participants voluntarily assume all such risks, whether caused by negligence, omission, or otherwise.

2. Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted to use Glaslyn Atelier’s premises and facilities, the Renter and Participants release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Glaslyn Atelier, its owners, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and affiliates from all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action related to any loss or theft, property damage, personal injury, or death occurring on or about the Studio premises, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Indemnification

The Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Glaslyn Atelier and its representatives from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

The Renter’s or Participants’ use of the Studio;
Any acts or omissions by the Renter, Participants, clients, guests, or invitees;
Damage to the Studio’s property, equipment, or fixtures;
Personal injury, illness, or property loss occurring during the rental period;
The use of third-party equipment, props, or materials brought into the Studio.

4. Photography & Equipment Clause

The Renter is solely responsible for the setup, operation, and safety of any personal or rented photography equipment, lighting, props, or tools brought onto the premises. Glaslyn Atelier is not responsible for damage, malfunction, theft, or injury arising from the use or misuse of such equipment.

Models, clients, and participants enter at their own risk. The Renter is responsible for maintaining a safe environment, including proper handling of cords, stands, lighting, and equipment.

5. Property Damage

The Renter is financially responsible for any damage to Glaslyn Atelier’s property, furnishings, or equipment resulting from misuse, negligence, or misconduct by the Renter, Participants, or guests. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the Renter.

Glaslyn Atelier is not responsible for any lost, stolen, forgotten or damaged personal property belonging to the Renter, Participants, or clients while on the premises. 

6. Guests, Minors & Pets

The Client is responsible for all guests they bring into the The Studio, any minors under their supervision, and any pets approved to enter the space. All participants must be covered under this waiver. 

7. Acknowledgment of Understanding

By signing this Agreement, the Renter acknowledges that they have read and understood this document and voluntarily agree to its terms. The Renter understands that this Agreement is a release of liability and a binding legal contract.
