2026 Leadership Development Program Application

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a unique opportunity designed to strengthen your professionalism, expand your leadership abilities, and prepare you for future leadership roles within the Emerald Coast Association of REALTORS® (ECAR).

Applicants should ideally have at least one year of experience as a REALTOR® and be members in good standing with ECAR. However, all applications are evaluated on individual merit, and other qualifications or experiences may also be considered. Participants must be able to meet the program’s time commitments and attend all scheduled meetings and activities.

PURPOSE:
To develop leaders by fostering ethical behavior, building inclusive communities, and nurturing REALTOR® Members, one REALTOR®, one LDP Class, and one Community at a time.

To facilitate active participation in Association leadership positions, as well as act as professional ambassadors by:
- EDUCATING participants on basic organizational structure and operations for the local, district, state, and national associations.
- EQUIPPING participants with appropriate skills for developing self-awareness, team building, public speaking, and other leadership characteristics.
- EXPOSING participants to opportunities for continued involvement and development, in the Association and their communities.
- CONNECTING participants with fellow REALTORS® and Affiliates to create career-building relationships and networking opportunities.

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a collaborative initiative designed to help REALTORS® strengthen their leadership skills, enhance their professionalism, and prepare for future leadership roles within the Emerald Coast Association of REALTORS® (ECAR) and the broader community.

This program focuses on developing the personal and professional qualities that define effective leadership—not on the day-to-day business of listing, selling, or financing real estate. Participants will gain valuable tools, insights, and connections that empower them to serve confidently on committees, as directors, and in other leadership positions that advance the Association’s mission.

The program fee is $259.00 and will be invoiced upon confirmation of acceptance. Participants should also be aware that there may be additional costs associated with participation, which may not be reimbursable. The Leadership Development Program is made possible through the collaborative funding efforts of ECAR, LDP Sponsors, dedicated volunteers and valued industry partners.

The program fee does not reflect the full cost of the program. Rather, it serves to identify those who are genuinely committed to the goals, expectations, and time requirements of this unique leadership opportunity.
