GET READY FOR NEO... (links to examples of some of the requested items at the end)
Upon power application approval, you will be given a copy of the NEO POWER CODE. This will be your path to power approval at the event and will cover a number of things regarding generator/fire safety and power grid do’s and don'ts. Your faction, and any other camping space in and or around the event is subject to inspection and adherence to the code. Violating these guidelines will not get you booted from the event, but it will be the end of your faction's power privileges.
So, here are some things to expect in order to tie into the NPC power grid:
Fire Extinguisher: You must have (1) ABC rated fire extinguisher for every faction space, or pre-approved generator / open flame device in the them zone (including camping areas).
Not withstanding any other edicts, guidelines, or rules communicated in the faction application process. Fire safety is a #1 priority at our events. All safety setbacks and requirements will be enforced by event personel and the fire marshal. These rules must be adhered to AT ALL TIMES, and inspections will take place daily to ensure adherence with rules and regulations in all theme zone areas.

Your end of the power bargain: An NPC is going to drop you a shared power feed based on this application. Your connection will be shared with one or more of your neighbors. Where and when that happens is a good guess at this moment.
It is our greatest hope that we will be able to start feeding, testing, and approving your amp draw as early as Monday before the event in MB1, Mega Mall & large factions, Tuesday for small factions in the theme zone.
Supply (2) 20' extension cords to feed to and from the grid tie in points. This could be between 20 and 100’ away depending on your application location and will include (1 to 2) 20' 15a rated cords (no single 20a rated cords) Make sure to put your faction name on all your extension cords (tape/sharpie) prior to arrival.
You will need to supply 10a breakerd surge suppressors for every 10a of power used. As well as Velcro straps, VERY MUCH PREFERRED over plastic zip ties to secure to the scaffolding as they do not require knives or pliers for removal/modification.
Emergency Lighting: Sometimes... the power goes out. Our NPC Servitors are prone to calling for power embargos or falling into rats nests of wires and getting a little overcharged in the excitement of things. In the case of a power outage, it's best to have an automatic light source to help you in and out of your space. This can be something as simple as a solar garden light, or, more thematically, paper lantern LED strings. These look amazing when placed in corridors outside your space and are a real life saver when things go pear shaped with the grid.
All of this will be in the NEO POWER CODE document with your power app approval, and we will point at it sternly during your pre-power safety inspection.
