Our Music Video Recording Project is open to anyone aged 8-17!
We welcome applications from Sound Pop Academy members and those who are not involved in our weekly sessions.
This year, our project will be our most ambitious yet. We're aiming bigger, better and bolder, with an incredible theme and a few special surprises along the way!
We're on the lookout for young people aged 8-17 who love to perform and wish to gain experience on a real working set, with a full production and creative team to make up the cast of this years video.
Project Dates:
Auditions: Sunday 12th April 2026 - The Point, Eastleigh
Project Day 1: Saturday 16th May 2026 - The Point, Eastleigh (9.30am - 3pm)
Project Day 2: Tuesday 26th May 2026 - The Point, Eastleigh (9.30am - 3pm)
Project Day 3: Wednesday 27th May 2026 - London (Transport included)
Premiere: August 2026 (date TBC) - Habour Lights Pitcure House, Southampton
Participants will be expected to attend an audition and if successful, ALL three days of the project. If you are unavailable for all three dates, we will unfortunately not be able to consider your application.
Due to the popularity of our Music Video Recording Project and to ensure that participants love the project as much as we do, all those who wish to take part will be required to attend a relaxed audition with us. There is a £5 fee to attend the audition. The attendance of an audition does not guarantee you a place on project.
What's included:
⭐ Audition experience
⭐ Three days on project
⭐ Three days of professional tuition (vocal, dance, acting and filming)
⭐ Our longest music video yet, featuring 3 songs, meaning more solo opportunities and even more camera time for everybody involved
⭐ Filming at a professional studio near London
⭐ Return transport (via coach) to the studio from the Eastleigh/Southampton area (Collection point TBC)
⭐ A ticket for yourself and two others to attend the Premiere on the big screen
⭐ A professionally filmed and produced music video
⭐ A MP3 digital download of the song
⭐ A professional Behind the Scenes video
⭐ A selection of professional production photos
⭐ A certificate of participation
⭐ A creative way to spend your half term break
⭐ And lifelong memories and experience for any acting/performance CV
What's not included:
⚠️ Lunch & snacks during project days
⚠️ Costume - we'll ask participant/guardians to support with costumes. Costume will depend on your casting group, if successful in audition.
⚠️ Project T-Shirt - Not a requirement, but available to participants for £15.00
2026 Project Fees:
💰 Audition Fee (All Auditionees): £5
💰 Sound Pop Academy members:£180
💰 Non-Sound Pop Academy members: £225
💰 Bursaries (low-income families): £100

💙 This year's cast will be made up of just 39 young people

💙 Remaining Payment (75%) - Due 12th May 2026
💙 We have two spaces available to families on low-income. Unfortunately, as we do not have external funding for this project, we are unable to offer any additional bursaries. For more information about a subsidised place, please continue with your child's application.
