Certified Recovery Residency Administrator (CRRA) Upgrade Application
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an active Certified Recovery Residence Administrator Provisional Credential (CRRA-P).
- Have 1,000 hours of recovery residence administrator experience (paid or volunteer) within the past ten years.
- Provide three letters of recommendation.
- Have completed at least 10 hours of on-the job supervision.
This application collects initial information to begin the upgrade process. You will submit documentation of your peer certification or training, while your employers will verify your work experience. Three individuals will also provide recommendation letters.

Supervised Work Experience
Applicants must have 1,000 hours (500 can be volunteer) of work experience providing recovery residence administrator services. Eligible experience occurred in the 10 years before application.

In this section, identify each employer who will be responsible for documenting the CRRA supervised work experience requirement. Then, download and provide a copy of the Board’s CRRA Work Experience Verification Form to each identified employer.

Employers will complete the form and submit it directly to the Board for review. The Board will not accept documentation submitted by the applicant.

On-the-Job Supervision Verification
Applicants must show that they’ve completed at least 10 hours of on-the job supervision of your work as a recovery residence administrator.

In this section, identify each supervisor who will be responsible for documenting the CRRA On-the-Job Supervision requirement. Then, download and provide a copy of the Board’s CRRA On-the-Job Supervision Verification Form to each identified employer.

Supervisors will complete the form and submit it directly to the Board for review. The Board will not accept documentation submitted by the applicant.
