    WFDYS Junior’s Camp Application

    By submitting your application, you confirm that you meet the following eligibility criteria for the WFDYS Junior’s Camp:

    You will be between 13 and 17 years old during the camp dates (April 5–11, 2026).

    You are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.


    You are able to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) or Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ).

    Selection Process
    The Selection Panel, comprised of members from Deaf Youth Canada (DYC), will review all applications based on the above criteria and additional factors. The Youth Board is committed to considering all applicants fairly and will select up to two participants from Canada in accordance with WFDYS camp limits. A reserve list will also be established. All selected participants will be submitted to the Deaf Youth Canada Executive Board and Camp Committee for final approval.


    Camp Registration & Additional Costs

    Each participant and their parents or guardians are responsible for the following expenses:

    Camp Registration Fee: €350 (approximately CAD 570)
    Payment must be made by November 30, 2025.
    Payment plans are available upon request.

    Additional Costs:

    Flights and transportation to Argentina
    Food and other personal expenses

    Please note that costs may vary depending on your location. Given the significant financial commitment, we encourage families to ensure they are prepared for these expenses.

    Deaf Youth Canada is more than happy to assist with fundraising efforts, including writing sponsorship or donation letters, supporting fundraising event planning, and providing guidance throughout the process.


    Support from Deaf Youth Canada
    The Deaf Youth Canada Board is dedicated to supporting selected participants in the lead-up to the camp. Support may include assistance with fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, International Sign learning opportunities, mentorship before, during, and after the camp, as well as logistical support for flights, accommodation, and registration to ensure safe travel for all children and leaders.

    Please note, Deaf Youth Canada is not responsible for managing or safeguarding your child’s funds. Flight payments must be completed at least two months prior to departure. 


    Application Submission

    All applications must include answers to all questions and any relevant video links. Applications should be completed via JotForm by Saturday, November 1, 2025 to be considered by the Selection Panel.
