What is Holiday Hands?
Holiday Hands provides holiday gifts to thousands of Hunterdon County low to moderate-income families, elderly residents, and individuals with special needs. Through this program, we ask these community members what they most need and wish for during the holiday season. Based on their responses, we create shopping lists that are available on our website for local purchasing or via Amazon wish lists for online shoppers.

How You Can Help:

              - Gift Cards: We accept grocery store gift cards, with a preference for $25 denominations. Our most frequent requests come from retailers such as ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Aldis, Walmart and Target.

              - Donations: We also welcome new and unwrapped toys, household goods, and monetary donations. Monetary contributions allow us to shop on your behalf and fill any gaps.

              - Online Shopping: Starting from November 1st, 2025, you can find links to our clients' wish lists on our website at www.uwhunterdon.org/holiday-hands. Items purchased through these lists will be sent to our Volunteer Center.

              - Host a Holiday Hands Gift Drive: You can involve your business, organization, or community group by hosting a gift drive to collect items for families in need.

            Our Holiday Store:
All purchased items are sent to our Volunteer Center, which is transformed into a holiday store. Here, clients can shop and select items for themselves and their families, preserving the dignity of choice.
            Important Dates:
November 1, 2025: Links to wish lists will be available on our website.
Before November 15, 2025: Please complete the Donor Information Form below.
What is the deadline? By Tuesday, December 9th, 2025.
Where do I drop off? Items can be dropped off at the United Way of Hunterdon County Volunteer Center, 20 Fulper Road, Flemington, NJ 08822, from Monday through Thursday between 9 am to 3 pm or by appointment.
Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more resilient community where every child can fully engage in their education.
