For 27 years, the Ontario Transportation Expo (OTE) Trade Show and Conference has been a collaboration of the motor coach, school bus and transit associations.
The conference offers business sessions organized by each of the three sectors. For 2026, OPTA will again offer TWO concurrent streams of transit sessions. One stream will be a leadership stream, and one stream will be more operational. OPTA Committees also meet in-person at OTE and abstract submissions may be considered for presentations to a committee. OPTA invites members to submit abstracts for review by the OTE Planning Committee. Abstracts must:
- be submitted by OPTA members in good standing;
- suggest a working title and identify which stream they are under;
- be limited to one abstract per stream;
- be educational not promotional;
- describe the format - panel; interactive workshop; fireside chat; classroom; etc.
- indicate the length of time required;
- include learning objectives.
Preference will be given to sessions that include/allow for an OPTA transit system member to contribute their perspective. OTE does not pay for travel costs or accommodation, or conference registration for Business Members, but may be able to offer a $50 discount to transit system members that offer to contribute.
OPTA will select the Moderator for all sessions. Some moderators will be sponsors of sessions and may offer products and services in the same space. If you are interested in sponsoring the session you are proposing, please indicate below.
