  • Thank you for your interest in applying to be a Camp Counselor for 2026 Girl Talk Camp! We are so excited about this year's Girl Talk Camp and can't wait to have another amazing year of fun activities, inspiring speakers, new friendships, and watching the transformation of not only our Campers, but Counselors throughout Girl Talk Camp week!

    Please take note of the following items before beginning to submit your application:

    1. Counselor training days are planned for Saturday May 30, 2026 and Sunday May 31, 2026, and require mandatory attendance. Time and location will be shared upon acceptance.
    2. Attendance for all five days of Girl Talk Camp is mandatory (June 1, 2026 - June 5, 2026 from 8:15AM - 5:30PM daily)
    3. You will need to submit a letter of recommendation. You will need to upload it as an attachment to this application. Your recommender cannot be a family member. If you have a question about this, contact us at programs@mygirltalk.org.
    4. Your parent/legal guardian (if you are 18 years or older, then you may sign on your behalf) will need to e-sign several waiver forms, so make sure they are available.
    5. All completed Counselor applications are due no later than March 27, 2026 by midnight.
    6. All applicants will be notified of our decision by April 17, 2026.
    7. Applicants who are rising high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors or rising college freshmen are welcome to apply. If you are a rising college sophomore or older, then we invite you to join us at Camp this year as a volunteer. Please click here to apply.

    Girl Talk Camp Lead Counselor(s) are selected based on their experience, skills, leadership abilities, and passion each year. This is a position that the Girl Talk Team feels is very important and an honor to receive. Lead Counselor(s) meet with the Girl Talk Team and help to create an amazing Girl Talk Camp experience.

    Lead Counselors:

    -Serve as a role model to all Counselors and Campers

    -Work directly with the Girl Talk Team, volunteers, speakers, and donors

    -Create the Girl Talk Camp Dance and teach it to the Counselors

    -Prepare and lead Counselor training day(s)

    -Provide encouragement to all Counselors and Campers

    -Communicate with the Counselors throughout the week and keep them informed at all times. Demonstrate open communication with Counselors throughout Girl Talk Camp.

    -Ensure all Counselors have what they need to succeed

    -Serve as Counselors' initial point of contact for questions and/or concerns

  • MEDICAL RELEASE

    This is to certify that during the Girl Talk Camp held from May 31, 2026 - June 5, 2026, the Counselor gives consent to Girl Talk Inc. staff for any of Girl Talk's programs and/or activities including without limitation to, The Girl Talk Camp, and Girl Talk's medical representative (including the Holy Innocents' nursing team) to obtain medical care from any licensed physician, hospital, or clinic for the above mentioned Counselor, for any injury that could arise from participation in the Girl Talk sponsored activity listed above. The Counselor herein described has permission to engage in all prescribed activities.

    In the event that the emergency contact provided herein cannot be reached in an emergency, I hereby give permission to the physician selected by the Girl Talk representative to hospitalize, secure proper treatment for and to order injections, anesthesia, or surgery as needed.

  • CONSENT AND RELEASE AGREEMENT

    RELEASE OF AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

    As the parent/guardian of the Counselor ("Counselor") or Counselor, themselves, as I am 18 years or older, and as a condition of and as consideration for the willingness of Girl Talk, Inc. ("Organization") to accept Counselor as a Counselor in its Girl Talk Camp, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are acknowledged, Counselor does freely, voluntarily and without duress execute the following Consent and Release and Release of and Waiver of Liability ("Release") for and on behalf of himself/herself/themself and his/her/their heirs, successors, beneficiaries and assigns:

    1. Release and Waiver of Liability. Counselor releases, forever discharges, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Organization and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, successors and assigns, partners and sponsors (including, but not limited to Dove, Sam’s Club, Barbie, Pro Volleyball Federation and Aerie), and Holy Innocents' Episcopal School, Inc. and its governing board, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, successors and assigns (collectively the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands and causes of action of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, arising out of or relating to Counselor's activities at Girl Talk Camp ("Activities"), including but not limited to any claim for any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death or property damage that may arise out of, occur during or result from the Activities, regardless of whether caused in whole or in part by an act or omission of a Released Party. Counselor also understands that, except as otherwise agreed to by a Released Party in writing, the Released Parties do not provide any financial asistance of any kind, including but not limited to medical, health or disability insurance coverage for any Counselor in Organization's programs.

    COUNSELOR UNDERSTANDS THAT THIS RELEASE DISCHARGES THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY LIABILITY OR CLAIM THAT COUNSELOR MAY HAVE AGAINST THE RELEASED PARTIES WITH RESPECT TO ANY BODILY INJURY, PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR PROPERTY LOSS THAT MAY RESULT FROM THE ACTIVITIES, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES OR OTHERWISE.

    2. Medical Treatment. Counselor releases, forever discharges, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Released Parties from any claim, demand or cause of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any first aid or medical treatment rendered in connection with Girl Talk Camp.

    3. Assumption of the Risk. Counselor understands that Girl Talk Camp may involve activities that may be hazardous to the Counselor and inherently have dangerous risks, including but not limited to travel to and from Girl Talk Camp, using art supplies including scissors, moving desks, tables, and chairs, hanging decorations, serving food, carrying boxes, observing and leading small group discussions, and performing movement exercises. Counselor hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of damage, injury, harm or death in connection with the Girl Talk Camp.

    4. COVID-19. In addition to any other risks posed by participating with the Organization, Counselor understands that, despite any safety precautions being taken by the Organization, by participating in Girl Talk Camp with the Organization, there is a risk of potential exposure to COVID-19 or any other harmful virus or bacteria, which may result in illness or death. Counselor releases, forever discharges, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, claim, costs, or expense related to such risk.

    5. Insurance. GIRL TALK INC. DOES NOT ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR OR OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OR OTHER ASSISTANCE OF ANY NATURE IN THE EVENT OF COUNSELOR'S INJURY, ILLNESS, OR DEATH, OR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY.

    6. Transportation Release. Counselor releases, forever discharages, indemnifies and holds harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, loss, costs or expenses sustained or incurred because (a) Counselor was injured, died or sustained property loss or damage while being transported by any of the Released Parties, or (b) because Counselor injured another person or damaged the property of another person while being transported by any of the Released Parties. Counselor releases, forever discharges, indemnifies and holds harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, loss, costs or expenses sustained or incurred while being transported from Girl Talk Camp. 

    7. Copyrights and Usage. I hereby grant to the Released Parties the right and permission, in respect of any photographs, videos and/or audio recordings which any of its members, officers, directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, successors and assigns may take or have taken of the Counselor, or in which the Counselor may be included with others, to copyright the same in the name of the Released Parties or otherwise; to use, reuse, publish and re-publish the same, in whole or in part, in conjunction with any printed/video/audio matter in any and all media now or hereafter known, including web pages, electronic mails, social and the like, for illustration, art, promotion, advertising, fundraising or any other purpose; and to use Counselor's own or a fictitious name, likeness and any statement made by Counselor in connection therewith if Released Parties so choose, without payment or any other consideration.

    8. Ownership, Modification, and Publication. I understand and agree that any such photographs, videos and audio recordings, including without limitation all negatives, prints and digital reproductions thereof, shall be and will become the property of the Released Parties. I hereby irrevocably authorize the Released Parties to edit, alter, digitally compose, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute any such photographs, videos, and audio recordings for purposes of publicizing Girl Talk's programs and activities or for any other lawful purpose. In addition, I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product or products or the advertising copy or printed matter, whether written or electronic, of any such material in which my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use or publication of any such photographs, videos, and audio recordings.

    9. Release and Hold Harmless. I release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless and defend the Released Parties and any and all of its members, officers, directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability by virtue of any reason in connection with the making and use of any such photographs, video and audio recordings, including blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the making of said photographs, video and audio recordings or in any subsequent processing thereof, as well as any publication of them, including without limitation any claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy.

    10. Podcast. By signing below, the Counselor also gives consent to the audio and video recordings referenced above being used in or as future Girl Talk podcast episodes. The Counselor will not receive compensation and waives any rights for inspection or approval.

    11. Miscellaneous. Counselor expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state of Georgia, and that this Release will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Georgia without giving effect to its conflict of laws rules. Counselor agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release is held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that clause or provision will not affect the remaining provisions of this Release, which will continue to be enforceable. Counselor agrees that the sole and exclusive jurisdiction and venue for litigation between Counselor and Organization will be a state or federal court having jurisdiction over Fulton County, Georgia.

    BY SIGNING, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS RELEASE AND THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE THE RELEASED PARTIES.

  • PERMISSION AND CERTIFICATION

    1. If the Counselor is a minor, I hereby certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the Counselor listed herein.

    2. I hereby give permission for the Counselor to be a Counselor for Girl Talk Camp. I certify that the Counselor is physically capable of being a Counselor for Girl Talk Camp and all related components of Girl Talk Camp.

    3. I hereby certify that all information provided in this form is true, correct and complete and that the Counselor agrees to abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the Organization.

    4. I and the Counselor hereby agree, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, to indemnify and hold harmless and discharge the Released Parties from, against and for any losses, costs, expenses, claims, demands, suits, judgments and all other liabilities (including attorney's fees, expenses and court costs) to which the Released Parties may be subject as a result of any false statement contained in this form.

    5. I hereby certify that Counselor has not been convicted of a felony or any offense involving the physical or sexual abuse, molestation or rape of a child; and that she/they has not been convicted of a crime of moral turpitude (lying or stealing). I hereby certify that all information provided in this authorization is true, correct and complete and that I and the Counselor agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and policies of the Girl Talk Camp. I and the Counselor understand that if any information proves to be incorrect or incomplete, grounds exist to cancel any and all participation by Counselor with the Organizaton.

  • CONFIRMATION

    BY SUBMITTING THIS FORM, I UNDERSTAND I AM DELIVERING ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES THAT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE. THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.

    By submitting my Counselor application to Girl Talk Camp, I understand that all my social media content will be subject for review by Girl Talk and that it may affect my acceptance into the program. I understand that by applying to be a Counselor I am agreeing to be a positive role model to all Campers and other Counselors, at school, in my community, and on social media.

    Selected Counselors will be notified via email.

  • Should be Empty:
