Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the 2026 Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship Program (Cohort 4), applicants must:
- Be a registered EdTech company focused on improving learning outcomes in South Africa
- Be beyond the ideation stage, with an existing product or service in the market
- Have a tech-enabled solution designed to increase access to quality education
- Be serving South African users
- Be supporting at least one of the following communities, or have a strategic intention to support this community within the next year:
- Girls and young women
- Learners with disabilities and special education needs (SEND)
- Refugees and displaced learners
- Low-income households and/or schools

It’s in your best interest to apply early, as we’ll be evaluating applications on a rolling basis, and will close the applications earlier should we find the right candidates.
