  • The Annual Red River Métis Early Learning & Child Care Conference will be taking place on March 6 & 7, 2026, at Delta Hotels, located at 350 St Mary Avenue in Winnipeg, MB.

This year’s conference theme — Rooted in Culture, Rising with Pride: Honouring Red River Métis Culture Through Building Pride in the Next Generation — celebrates the strength, wisdom, and traditions of the Red River Métis. The focus is on embracing cultural identity, leadership, and pride among our children and educators. By honouring the past and living it in the present — through child care practices, community relationships, and uplifting our youth and teams — we aim to inspire the next generation to thrive confidently in who they are.

We warmly invite Child Care Educators to join us for this two-day conference, where participants can expect hands-on workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, and an exciting tradeshow featuring industry leaders and talented Red River Métis artisans. This is a unique opportunity for educators to not only leave the conference with their required professional development hours but also feel energized and inspired, with a strong focus on building Red River Métis pride for themselves and the children in their care.
