    Background 

    District Governor Marlene Frisbie is excited to announce the District’s initial Peace Pole Grant Project.  The purpose of this grant is to encourage the establishment of 125 Peace Poles throughout our District by 2030 – the 125th Anniversary of Rotary!

    • $3,000 total available in 2025-26. 
    • Grants will be awarded on a reimbursement basis-purchase of the Pole and award of the grant must be pre-approved by the District Grants Chair.
    • A maximum of $250 per club per pole is available this year to fund up to 12 poles this year.
    • Each club must provide the difference between the grant amount and the cost of the pole, including shipping, installation and other expenses.

    Award Process

    • The District Governor/Grant Committee will evaluate the Grant applications for completeness.
    • Distribution of the grants will be made to each club on a first come, first served basis until the funds are used.
    • Each club will be eligible for one peace pole grant. 
    • Clubs which have installed a Peace Pole prior to the announcement of this grant may be reimbursed for one pole, depending on the availability of funds. Please contact the District Grant Chair,Mike Quirk, miketraveling@hotmail.com, to discuss.
