The Climate League of Oxford and Cambridge (CLOC) is a student-led ranking of Oxbridge colleges based on their climate policy. It aims to provide a centralised information base of all the colleges' policies and encourage the colleges to improve the efficiency, robustness and transparency of these year on year.
We need to recruit a new team of Cambridge-based volunteers to make CLOC happen this year! Please fill out this form by November 30th 2025 if you would be interested in helping deliver CLOC 2025-26.
Note we welcome help from members of the wider Cambridge community and ARU students as well as Cambridge University students!
We need volunteers to:
- Commit to marking up to 5 colleges on their climate policy progress against a pre-defined criteria which focusses on divestment from the fossil fuel industry, decarbonisation, delinking from fossil fuel industry influence and internal governance structures. The marking will take place from December to February 2025/26. It will be based on publicly available information and information provided to CLOC by colleges in a questionnaire as per the CLOC methodology. A training session will be delivered by last year's CLOC team in early December to ensure a streamlined marking process.
- Assist with/lead publicity and press ahead of and following the release of CLOC. This would involve looking after our social media, and preparing and implenting a press strategy for the release in March.
- Coordinate/co-coordinate the Cambridge CLOC team including liasing with the team in Oxford.
No experience necessary, just ability to commit to the role and enthusiam to make CLOC 2025/26 a success!
