    Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to invite your group to the second ever Nature Makes Sense event. This is one not to be missed! There are two locations and dates to choose from: The Grange Park, Omagh on Thursday 19 March 2026 Smiths Strand, Lisnaskea on Thursday 26 March 2026 If you have any questions please email climate@fermanaghomagh.com. Register early to ensure your group does not miss out! Registrations must be completed by 12 noon on Friday 6 March 2026.
  • Event Details

    The event is an opportunity to be in the local outdoors to have time to connect with nature and learn more on environmental topics including climate change and biodiversity. There will be a range of organisations to engage with, where you can learn more on what they do and there will be different activties for all to interact with.  

    There will be FODC staff on hand to guide you and support if required. This is also a great opportunity for those who support participants to learn and connect with nature. 

  • The morning slot will only be for children and young people Under 16 years old and the afternoon slot will be for adults and young people 16 years old and over. Please note that both age categories will not be mixed. During this time slot you will have one part which will include a guided trail session to visit a number of activity providers including Oakwood Bushcraft, Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark and The Loughs Agency. Another section of the event is called ‘Earth Explorers’ which involves exploring other sensory based activities with organisations such as The Butterfly Conservation and Sperrin Soul at your own pace.

    A member of FODC staff will be in touch once registration has closed to assign each group a time for a guided trail session and a time for the ‘Earth Explorers’ section.
