Purpose
Increase home fire safety by installing smoke detectors in the Rangerville Park community.
Key Dates
Saturday, November 1st, 8am-12pm - Door Hanger Day, neighborhood outreach
Volunteer Requirements for Nov. 1st
- Arrive at Rangerville Park by 7:30 AM for parking and assignments
- Sign-up form required for coordination
Saturday, November 8th, 8am - 12pm - Installation Day, smoke alarm installations in selected homes
Volunteer Requirements for Nov. 8th
- Arrive at Rangerville Park by 7:30 AM for parking and assignments
- Must be 18 years or older
- Bring step ladders, drills, and flat-head screwdrivers, extras appreciated
- Bilingual volunteers encouraged
- Liability forms required for all volunteers
- Sign-up form required for coordination

Project Scope
• Area: Rangerville Park neighborhood, King Ave to Wyoming Dr on the Westside
• Target: 130 to 200 smoke detector installations
• Install 2 to 3 detectors per home, hallways and near bedrooms
• 50 percent completion considered a success benchmark
