The National Alumni Scholarship award covers full in-state tuition, required fees, and a traditional residence hall room. All application materials must be submitted on or before January 10, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, a candidate must:
· Be a United States citizen who has graduated or will graduate from an accredited high school prior to the fall semester of the year for which the selection is made.
· Meet the admission requirements for North Carolina A&T State University and apply to the University prior to the scholarship application deadline.
· Have a minimum 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.
· Note: Test scores are optional for the 2026–2027 application period.
· Submit two (2) typed and signed letters of recommendation on official letterhead:
· One letter from a school representative (faculty or administrator).
· One letter from a community organization (e.g., faith-based, civic, Boy/Girl Scouts, Boys & Girls Club, Jack and Jill, pageant/cotillion, etc.).
· Letters from relatives will not be accepted.
· Provide a one-page typed autobiography.
· Include your name and date of birth on all documents submitted.
All application materials must be complete and submitted by January 10, 2026.
Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.

Yes, however, you must be admitted to the University prior to applications being reviewed
*Do I have to know an alumni in order to apply?
No, all New Freshman are welcome to apply.
