Onöhsagwë:de’ Cultural Center/Seneca-Iroquois National Museum complies with the requirements of the Indian Arts & Crafts Act of 1990 (P.L. 101-644) which makes it illegal to market an art or craft item in a manner that falsely suggests it is Indian-produced. Under the Act, an Indian is defined as a member of any federally or officially State recognized Indian tribe, or an individual certified as an Indian by an Indian Tribe.
Small Business Saturdays Rules/Guidelines:
Vendors will be allowed to set-up after 9:00am the day of and will take-down their own set-up at the end of the event (4pm). If a vendor needs to leave early, they must let OCC/SINM staff know ahead of time, unless it is an emergency.
If assistance is needed, arrangements will need to be made with staff at least 48 hours prior to set-up. It is the responsibility of the vendor to carry their own items, unless arranged prior to event. We will do our best to accommodate any and all requests.
Vendors MUST bring their own tables, tablecloths, easels and other apparatuses for items being sold. OCC/SINM will not provide any materials needed for set-up.
Pre-made and packaged foods will be allowed for sale at this event. Please be sure to cook all foods to recommended temps and pre-package them before set-up.
If the vendor cannot make their allotted time and date, they will be required to notify OCC/SINM staff as soon as possible. A no-call, no-show will deem the business ineligible for set-up for 6 months from the date of event. OCC/SINM reserves the right to give another vendor the allotted space if the first vendor does not show up to the event.
Vendors who may be late will need to let OCC/SINM staff know their arrival time. If said vendor does not coordinate a time, they will be ineligible for set-up the day of. If the vendor does not show up at the time they have set with staff, they will be ineligible to set-up and will also be ineligible for set-up at OCC/SINM events for 6 months from the event date. This is to ensure fairness to all who have applied to set-up.
I have read and agree to abide by the guidelines and policies of the Seneca Nation of Indians and OCC's Small Business Saturdays. I understand that I must sell my own handmade work and I will uphold the standards established by the Seneca Nation of Indians and OCC/SINM for the proper representation of my work. The Seneca Nation of Indians & OCC/SINM are not liable to the vendor, and will not insure the vendor, for any damage to the vendor's artwork, personal effects or any materials used in displaying/selling at Small Business Saturdays and is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Vendors shall make their own arrangements at their own expense for any desired insurance coverage protecting such sale items, personal effects, or materials.
