Important Notice Regarding Food Benefits and Pet Assistance
Food benefits will not be available for a lot of our pet-owning clients for the month of November. We are creating a system that gives relief and assistance to clients with pets that we are already serving. "People problems" equal "pet problems" — insecurity of food can lead to using rent money to offset grocery prices, which can lead to losing housing. Many people feed their pets off of food assistance programs, no SNAP/Link also affects animals, their ability to eat, and housing.

You can contact recipients via TextNow app(free) vs your cell, place grocery store orders for delivery via recipient wish list/order, or go to the grocery store with an individual one on one. We are recommending a limit of $100 for groceries as a one time “buddy system” for the month of November. If a person chooses to spend more than that, that is up to the donor.
