    We cannot guarantee a place for everyone, as space and time are limited. However, our intention is to make the Festival as inclusive, diverse, and enriching as possible for all participants.

  • Please note that we will tend to select the most experienced teachers for Sadhana. So if it is your first time, or if you have not been teaching for long, we recommend applying for evening yoga.

  • Guidelines for choosing a kriya:

    • All teachings must be Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and KRI approved (e.g., consider consulting the Aquarian Teacher manual, KRIYA, Sadhana Guidelines as manuals)
      For sadhana, kriyas that focus more on the lower chakras tend to be more appropriate than those that focus on higher ones; focus on more physical kriyas rather than more meditative kriyas
    • Please consider that sadhana is done outdoors, and it is often chilly. Appropriate kriyas will include exercises that help participants to get the heart rate up and to warm up all parts of the body (especially considering we are preparing for 3 days of white tantric). 
    • For sadhana, ideally do not choose kriyas that include a meditation (as we will meditate with Long Ek Ong Kars and the mantras).
    • Ideally choose one kriya (and not two short ones).
    • Timing: The length of time for the kriya is 50 mins, including relaxation (shorter on tantric days); please select kriyas accordingly that will fit in the time for the sadhana/class. Relaxation should be 6-8 mins at sadhana; up to 10 mins for evening yoga.
    • Keep warm ups to 1-3 asanas, maximum.
    • Please avoid playing music during the sadhana kriya, unless necessary in the kriya.
    • For sadhana, keep instructions simple and talking to a minimum.
    • For evening yoga, the meditation is the healing meditation Ra Ma Da Sa. Musicians are available to lead live chanting of this mantra, if needed, or you may choose to lead it a capella.
