In Summer 2026, Towards Ahimsa Secondary School will offer the following courses (subject to enrolment):
GPP3O – Leadership and Peer Support: This course prepares students to take on leadership roles that make a difference—for people, animals, and the planet. Students will design and run projects that contribute to their community, developing skills in communication, teamwork, interpersonal relations, and conflict management. They will apply these skills in leadership and peer-support roles, explore group dynamics, and appreciate the value of diversity within groups and communities. Throughout the course, students will learn to guide others with empathy, mindfulness and respect.
PLF4M – Recreation and Healthy Active Living Leadership: Students explore lifelong participation in active recreation and healthy leisure while developing leadership, teamwork, and coordination skills. Through hands-on activities, they plan and lead safe, inclusive programs that promote well-being for people, animals, and the environment. Students practice mindful, compassionate decision-making and inspire others to make choices that support health, balance, and ethical living.
