Racist language Survey
This short survey aims to understand the kinds of racist language or slurs that Asian people living in Europe encounter in daily life, including so-called 'jokes'. Your responses are anonymous and will help us identify common patterns of everyday racism and support awarenss-raising campaigns across Europe.
Add one row per racist expression, gesture, or phrase you have encountered. This can include verbal and non-verbal forms, e.g., “ching chong,”, “sambal bij,” etc. Mocking gestures, such as slanted eyes or imitating accents. Or, song or chants e.g., “Drei Chinesen mit dem Kontrabass” (DE) or “Hanky Panky Shanghai” (NL). If you know of specific localised phrases in your country of residence (e.g., “sambal bij” in NL), please include them as well. Select how often you encounter each example. The comment field is optional and can be used to explain the context or your experience.
