Dear Freshmen Parent(s) or Guardian(s):
The Freshman Retreat will take place in the late afternoon of Thursday, January 29 to 11:30am on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Seattle Prep. There is no school Thursday, January 29 through Friday, January 30.
This retreat allows the freshman class to build community by engaging in prayer, small group discussions, and large group activities. It gives them opportunities to practice the goals of Jesuit education, known as The Grad at Grad: being open to growth, intellectually competent, committed to justice, spiritually alive, and loving.
This is a required retreat. We ask that you do not schedule any activities or appointments that conflict with retreat time. Students cannot be late or leave early from this retreat.
This retreat serves Seattle Prep’s mission to educate the heart as well as the mind, and will set the tone for their remaining high school years. We encourage all parents to support them as they prepare for this retreat, and pray for the retreat’s success!
The retreat offers a variety of activities that may involve physical activity (bouncy structures and carnival games) and events (magic act and petting zoo). Please contact us directly with any concerns. If you foresee any conflicts, please contact Brian Mack, Community Minister at bmack@seaprep.org
*The cost of the retreat is covered by the student activity fee.
