GARCA Official Scholarship Application

The Georgia Roofing Contractors Association (GARCA) will grant a minimum of $1,000 undergraduate scholarships to eligible students. Scholarships will be awarded to a student that is attending or will be attending an accredited college or technical school in the 2026-2027 school year. All applications and supporting documents must be received by May 1st, 2026 to qualify. Scholarship winners will be notified by July 1st, 2026, and scholarships award checks will be mailed no later than July 31st, 2026.
OBJECTIVE:

To develop better individuals, through education, for the benefit of our community.

ELIGIBILITY:
All candidates must be:
- High school seniors provisionally accepted as full or part‐time students into undergraduate degree programs by an accredited two or four year college or other higher educational institution (such as but not limited to a vocational school).
OR
- Full‐time or part‐time students working toward an undergraduate degree at an accredited two or four year college or other accredited higher educational institution.
AND
- Georgia Resident.
- Employees or dependents of employees of a company that is a member in good standing in GARCA, provided that the office where the employee works or reports directly is located in the state of Georgia.
- United States citizen attending an U.S. school.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS:

Applicant is responsible for ensuring that all items listed below are completed and submitted to the Association no later than May 1, 2026. You will need to have the following information on hand before you start the application process. You will NOT be allowed to save your application and come back later:
1. This official online scholarship application form completed and signed.
2. Official high school or college transcript.
3. Official SAT/ACT scores (high school students).
4. Write a one-page essay explaining how receiving this scholarship would impact your future.
5. Current photograph (to be used for publicity purposes only).
IMPORTANT: Download (2) copies of the Reference Form at the end of this application and make sure that the individuals that fill it out, email it to info@garca.org by May 1, 2026. Each applicant must provide (2) references as follows:
1. PROFESSIONAL/EDUCATOR REFERENCE - To be completed by a faculty member, guidance counselor or school principal if no faculty or counselor is available.
2. PERSONAL REFERENCE - To be completed by an adult not related to the candidate and who is not a faculty member.
