    NB: If you have not attended an introductory event before you submit your application form, we may not be able to offer you an interview. Therefore, we highly recommend booking your place on the next available date and submitting your application form after you have booked. Please check our website for dates and the booking form.

  • Completing your application form:

  • Once you complete each section of the application form, you can click on the "Next" button at the bottom of the page to move on to the next page. The last section of the form will have a "Submit" button instead, click on that button once you've filled in the form and are ready to submit your application to us.

    If you wish to save your progress and continue your application at a later date, or on a different device, you can do so by:

    1. clicking on the "Save" button at the bottom of each page. Once you click "Save",
    2. a window will then open with a link that says "Click here to save your progress" - click that link when it appears,
    3. you'll then be able to see the email address that you entered at the beginning of the form pre-entered into the email address field - now you can just click on the "Send" button to receive an automated email containing a link for you to click on to continue your application at your leisure (please allow a few minutes for this to come through, and please check your Spam/Junk folders if you don't see it in your Inbox).

  • It is important to complete all information as we are required to submit statistical reports to our validating university, the Office for Students and the Higher Education Statistical Agency (HESA).

    Guidance on Confidentiality of Applications

    NCA confirms that applications are normally confidential between

    1. the applicant;
    2. the appropriate staff at the NCA;
    3. the Higher Education Statistics Agency;
    4. the Office for Students;
    5. the referees;
    6. our partner University;
    7. where relevant, the applicant's school, college, or training organisation;

    10. NCA is currently unable to accept students from outside the UK, but should this become possible in future, in the case of international applicants, the British Council or appropriate agency.

    However, NCA tries to detect and prevent fraud, and has the right to give outside organisations, including the Police, the Home Office, local authorities, exam boards or awarding bodies, professional bodies, other teaching institutions accredited by the professional bodies, and the Benefits Agency, information from the applicant's form.

    However, if you have already undertaken some acupuncture study and wish to apply for entry into other years by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), please select from the options below:

    Please note, RPL allows applicants to demonstrate previous learning which may give credits or exemption from taking part in a component of the program that is being applied for. Examples of RPL include, but are not limited to, degree credits. The prior learning must have been undertaken no more than five (5) years before the proposed date of entry to the programme. We will need to see a transcript which shows all the modules that you have taken and your marks. You will also be required to sit an exam for which there is an extra charge.

By providing these details you give your permission for the NCA to contact your previous institution, if needed, to ensure we are making appropriate exemptions that reflect your prior learning.

It is therefore important that students are able to meet appropriate standards of professional conduct.
