    Woodland Park Day Camp Volunteer Registration is now open!!!
    Volunteer REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS Friday December 5th at 9:00pm.

    Your Leadership Team is hard at work putting together an amazing program to fit this year's theme, "Ride the Waves"

    We are excited to announce Woodland Park Day Camp 2026 is tentatively scheduled for July 6-10.

    At the time of this letter, we currently do not know where camp will be. Seattle Parks and Recreation has changed their process of reserving camp space for all day camps using their properties. The new process of choosing camps has been changed to a lottery process, where applications are due January 1st. Woodland Park Day Camp will apply for two potential locations, Woodland Park and Carkeek Park. We anticipate hearing back from Seattle Parks and Recreation in early February. As soon as we know we will let you know. We understand this may cause some uncertainty about not having a location to hold camp, but we will keep you updated as the process evolves. We would still love to see you register to volunteer and sign up your kiddos for camp, but we will not be taking payment until camp dates and site is confirmed. Thank you for sticking with us and coming back year after year. Our day camp truly can’t happen without you.

    Volunteers! We love 'em! We can't make camp happen without our fantastic volunteers, and we'd love to have your help. Volunteering at camp is a fun way to spend time with Girl Scouts. There are a wide variety of opportunities available, from unit leaders working directly with a group of campers, to station leaders working in places like the cook shelter or art station. There's something at camp for everyone! Additionally, our camp has preschool and (1st-7th grade) boy units, so siblings can come to camp on the days you volunteer. Most volunteers benefit from early camp registration and full time volunteers (4+ days) get discounted camp rates! (see below)

    We ask volunteers to commit to two or more days at camp, with a sincere request for four and five day volunteers. When spending multiple days at camp, our volunteers have the benefit of being able to connect with our campers, fully engage with their roles, experience camp in a broader sense, and form lasting adult friendships with other volunteers. The number of campers that we can accommodate is directly related to the number of adult volunteers at camp. Each year, Woodland Park Day Camp must turn away a considerable number of eager campers on our wait list because camp is full. Please consider volunteering at camp this year. We know you'll love being at camp!

    Registration for Program Aides, PATs, and their siblings is also currently open and will remain open.  Please register as soon as possible so Thumper will know you are coming to camp!  We also cannot guarantee a spot to siblings after general registration has opened.  Register via the link below (in 3). General registration will open Monday December 15th, 2025 - January 15th, 2026 or until units are full.

    Registrations made before these designated times will be declined.

    In preparation for day camp registration, please take a few minutes to do the following:

    (1) Gather the information you will need for registration, including but not limited to emergency contact information, a list of people who are allowed to pick up your child, any information on your camper's medical conditions that would be relevant to day camp (including allergies and accommodations), Cookie Dough numbers (if you plan to use that for payment), and your camper’s troop number (if applicable). Please note the instructions will be on the registration page if you plan to use Cookie Dough or apply for financial aid for camp.

    (2) Verify that all day campers, PAs, PATs, and volunteers are registered as Girl Scouts for the 2025-26 scouting year (http://www.girlscoutsww.org/en/about-girl-scouts/join.html). This is required and we are unable to complete this for you as we have in past years.  If you need assistance with this step, please contact Girl Scouts of Western Washington.

    (3) Make a note on your calendar to come back to www.woodlandparkdaycamp.com/registration on December 15th, 2025 at 2:00pm (general registration) to complete your Woodland Park Day Camp registration.

    A few other things that we'd like you to know:

    Financial Aid is available through GSWW: https://www.girlscoutsww.org/en/members/girl-scouts-families/financial-assistance.html
    Volunteers can request a buddy!
    GSWW requires that everyone at Day Camp meet the Washington State requirements for school vaccinations.
    We hope to see you at camp!

  • Camp Participation and COVID-19 Participation Acknowledgement:

  • The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact, by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and spread the disease even if they do not show any symptoms. Girl Scouts of Western Washington (“GSWW”) is committed to taking precautions to mitigate that risk as well as to following applicable federal, WA State, local and GSUSA COVID-19 directives and guidelines. Our council is also committed to having in-person activities as allowed and in accordance with those mandates. GSWW’s operations and programs occurring while COVID-19 is circulating in our community may expose our members, volunteers, and employees to the risk of infection. GSWW cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting or spreading COVID-19 while attending (which includes being present in any capacity) any GSWW in-person programming. Therefore, any interaction with others in connection with in-person programming may expose you and your family to and increase your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. GSWW has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 at its in-person programming; however, GSWW cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19.

    By participating in these in-person activities, participants will be viewed as:

    1.) Understanding that COVID-19 is a highly contagious virus, easily spread including through in-person contact;

    2.) Acknowledging that GSWW cannot guarantee that infection will not occur;

    3.) Choosing to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for the participant and their family in order to attend the inperson activity; and

    4.) Agreeing to release GSWW from responsibility in the event of COVID-19 infection. Participants who do not agree to these statements should not join in-person GSWW activities.

    I understand that if I have questions, at any time, regarding any of the policies and procedures, I will contact the Girl Scouts of Western Washington Customer Care Team at (800) 541-9852 or email CustomerCare@girlscoutsww.org.
