    This information is crucial for our new clients to guarantee that their tax returns are filed correctly. We ask that new clients submit at least one prior year tax return (ideally two) for comparison with your upcoming filing.

    While we may already have some of this information from previous engagements, we respectfully ask that you submit it again for our current clients so that we can ensure that our records are 100% correct and current. If there are any parts that have not changed from your previous year's file, you will be able to note them and won't have to enter the data again. IRS compliance is essential, and those of you who have previously dealt with us are aware of our tremendous efforts to ensure that you receive every penny you deserve .

    IMPORTANT: A list of the most often required documents is provided. You have the option to store and retrieve your documents whenever you'd like. This is intended to improve the level of convenience that our tax office offers. You must click the "SUBMIT" button at the bottom of the form after filling out EVERY section in order to send it to our office. All information will be deleted if you close your browser before selecting "SUBMIT" and it won't be sent to us. After submitting, you will receive a confirmation email to make sure your information was received.

    Please be aware that in order to comply with state and federal identity theft protection initiatives, our firm will require a valid government-issued photo ID during your engagement.

    TAX PREPARATION ENGAGEMENT & INTAKE AGREEMENT

    Dear Valued Client,

    This letter is to detail the terms of our engagement with you and to clarify the nature and extent of the services provided by Financ-Her Financial Services. To ensure a clear understanding of our mutual responsibilities, all clients for whom tax returns are prepared are required to review and acknowledge the terms outlined below. By providing your signature, you are accepting the terms and conditions specified in this letter and authorizing Financ-Her Financial Services to prepare your tax return(s).


    SCOPE OF SERVICES
    Financ-Her Financial Services will prepare your current-year federal income tax return and, when applicable, state income tax return(s), based solely on the information and documentation you provide. Our services are limited to tax return preparation for the applicable tax year and do not include audit representation, appeals, legal advice, financial or investment advice, or tax planning beyond the current filing year unless agreed to separately in writing. Additional services, including multi-state filings, business returns, or additional schedules, may result in additional fees, which will be disclosed prior to preparation.


    CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
    You acknowledge that the accuracy of your tax return depends entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. You agree to furnish all required documents, including but not limited to W-2s, 1099s, business income and expense records, and documentation supporting deductions or credits claimed. You are responsible for maintaining original records and receipts to substantiate all income, deductions, and credits reported on your return. Although Financ-Her Financial Services prepares your return, you remain legally responsible for its contents and for any tax due.


    DUE DILIGENCE DISCLOSURE
    Federal law requires tax preparers to exercise due diligence when preparing tax returns. To comply with IRS regulations, Financ-Her Financial Services may ask follow-up questions, request additional documentation, or seek clarification of information provided. Failure to provide requested information may delay processing or prevent the filing of your return.


    PRIVACY POLICY
    Tax preparers are bound by professional standards of confidentiality. Financ-Her Financial Services has implemented policies and procedures to protect your right to privacy. For current and former clients, we do not disclose any nonpublic personal information obtained in the course of our practice except as required or permitted by law, or as necessary to properly provide our services.

    We collect nonpublic personal information that is provided by you or obtained with your authorization. Information may be shared with employees or non-affiliated third parties who need access to assist in providing services. In all such situations, contractual safeguards are required to protect the confidentiality of the information.

    We retain records relating to professional services provided in order to assist with future needs and comply with professional guidelines. To safeguard nonpublic personal information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural security measures in compliance with federal privacy regulations.


    FILING AUTHORIZATION
    You understand that no tax return will be filed without your review and approval. Once your return is completed, you will have the opportunity to review it for accuracy. By approving the completed return and signing this agreement, you authorize Financ-Her Financial Services to electronically file your federal and state tax return(s) in accordance with IRS e-file requirements.


    OUR FEES
    Fees for tax preparation services are based on the complexity of the return, the forms and schedules required, and the time involved. Fees are not based on the amount of any refund. Payment is required whether you receive a refund or owe taxes. Fees may be paid upfront or, if eligible, deducted from your refund through approved bank products. Additional fees may apply for bank products, refund advances, or third-party services and will be disclosed prior to selection. Once services have been completed, no refunds of preparation fees will be issued.


    NON-FILING / ABANDONMENT
    If you choose not to proceed with filing your return after it has been completed, an abandonment fee of $150 may apply. This fee represents time and services already performed and must be paid before any completed tax documents are released.


    RECORD RETENTION
    Financ-Her Financial Services retains copies of prepared tax returns and related documents for a minimum of three (3) years in accordance with professional standards. You are responsible for retaining your original documents, including income statements, receipts, and supporting records. Copies may be provided upon request, and a document retrieval fee may apply.


    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    Financ-Her Financial Services is responsible only for penalties or interest that result directly from our verified errors or omissions. You remain fully responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, all taxes due, and any penalties or interest resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or false information supplied by you.


    ARBITRATION
    If a dispute arises out of or relates to this engagement letter or the obligations of the parties, and the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through mediation administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Mediation Rules before pursuing arbitration, litigation, or other legal remedies.


    TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT
    Either party may terminate this agreement in writing prior to the filing of the return. Fees for services performed up to the termination date remain due. Financ-Her Financial Services reserves the right to terminate this engagement if required information is not provided, false or misleading information is submitted, communication becomes abusive or unethical, or continuing the engagement would compromise compliance or professional standards.


    AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGMENT
    The foregoing is in accordance with your understanding of this engagement to provide tax preparation services. You affirm that the information provided is true, correct, and complete to the best of your knowledge. You understand that this information will be submitted to the IRS and applicable state tax authorities and that providing false or misleading information is against the law and may result in penalties.

    By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined above. This agreement applies to all tax returns prepared for you by Financ-Her Financial Services for the current tax year and may continue for future years unless terminated in writing.
