The Child Protection and Safeguarding of young people and leaders is of upmost importance to Christ In Youth. CIY are responsible for the Child Protection procedures, vetting, verification and training of its own staff and volunteers who will be leading and serving at MOVE.

CIY are not responsible for the training and vetting of the youth leaders/volunteers from churches and organisations who bring young people to MOVE. This is the primary responsibility of your church and/or organisation. The leaders of your church/organisation are the legal guardians (loco parentis) for the young people that you bring to MOVE.

Our Child Protection Policy requires each of your adult leaders to have been vetted by the Garda Síochána or the PSNI through their National Criminal and Sex offender Background Checking procedures. Any leader not vetted will not be able to atted MOVE.
1. Can you verify each adult attending this event with your group has been Garda or PSNI vetted and has had Child Protection training from your church/organisation?

2. Can you verify none of the leaders accompanying your group have had arrests or convictions of any kind on their background check in relation to child offences?

3. I understand and agree that I/we are the legal guardians of the young people we bring.

I verify the above information is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand adults who have been convicted or under suspicion of a crime involving children cannot attend MOVE and that CIY reserves the right to remove any person from this event that in its sole discretion poses a threat to those in attendance.
