  • Snapology Homeschool Days – General Information

Our Homeschool Days take place at our Lancaster Discovery Center (2503 Oregon Pike) and are designed to feel like a field trip meets hands-on STEM workshop—blending free play with structured learning.

We’re currently exploring the possibility of adding monthly Homeschool Days in the Hershey, Hummelstown, or Elizabethtown areas. If you have a connection to a free or low-cost venue in those regions, we’d love to hear from you! Keeping venue costs down allows us to keep program pricing affordable for families.

    What is Snapology’s Homeschool Day?

Our Homeschool Days are part creative free play, part instructor-led STEM class—designed to be hands-on, engaging, and socially enriching. Each 2-hour session includes:

    • 1 Hour of Creative Free Play
Children explore rotating building and sensory stations designed to encourage imagination, independence, and peer interaction.
    • 1 Hour of Structured STEM Class
Led by a trained instructor, classes may include Robotics, Engineering, Creative Design, or Academic-Themed Builds.

Kids ages 4-14 build real-world skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity—all while having fun! With team-based challenges and group play, it’s also a wonderful opportunity to form friendships and build social confidence in a supportive setting.

    Details:

    Ages: 4-14
Children may be grouped by age for certain activities to ensure developmentally appropriate instruction and play.

Drop-Off or Stay — Your Choice!
Parents/guardians may drop off if their child is fully independent in the restroom. You're always welcome to stay, chat, or even join in the fun if you’d prefer!

    What to Bring:
Please send your child with a labeled water bottle. We have a refill station on-site, so they can stay hydrated throughout the session.

    What to Wear:
We recommend comfortable clothing suitable for play and creative activities.

    Cancellation & Credit Policy

We understand that unexpected things come up! Here's how we handle cancellations:

    Minimum Enrollment:
Each session requires a minimum of 8 children to run. If a session is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a credit that can be applied to any future Snapology program.

    Weather or Emergency Closures:
If Snapology cancels a session due to inclement weather or another emergency, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or a credit for a future program.

Unable to Attend (Illness, Injury, or Family Emergency):
If your child is unable to attend due to sickness, injury, or other unavoidable circumstances, we’re happy to provide a credit for the missed session. This credit can be used for any future program hosted by Snapology of Lancaster, Reading, or Hershey.

Please notify us as early as possible so we can update attendance and assist with rescheduling.

      • Programming Input For Registered Famlies

      • Thank you for registering!

We’re thrilled to have your family joining us for Snapology’s upcoming Homeschool Days.

As a registered participant, you now have the opportunity to help shape the programming for these sessions. The questions below will help us better understand your family’s preferences for themes, structure, and focus—so we can design experiences that truly reflect what attending families want.

This section is only available to those who have completed registration, because we want to ensure we’re building Snapology Homeschool Days with the families who will be attending.

Your voice matters, and we appreciate your input!

      • Section 1: Focus Priorities

Each Homeschool Day includes a mix of structured learning and creative play — but families may value different outcomes from the experience. Please list the following focus areas in order of importance to your family. This will help us understand what matters most to you and tailor programming to reflect those priorities.
      • Section 2: Content/Theme Preferences

Your input helps us design programming that reflects the goals and values of the families who attend.
      • Section 3: Preferred Program Structure

Note: Categories include engineering, robotics, creative etc.
      • Section 4: Social-Emotional Learning

      • Waiver Reminder:
If we do not have a completed waiver form on file from you within the past 6 months, we will send you a link via text (through Smartwaiver) to complete it.

A signed waiver is required for your child to participate, so please be sure to complete it prior to your first session if prompted. This helps us ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone.
