Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society Logo Design Contest – Official Rules
✅ 1. Contest Overview
The Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society is seeking a new logo that reflects our mission, vision, and the exciting path forward as we continue “Growing Together and Connecting Our Community.” This logo will be used across all official branding, promotional materials, signage, and digital platforms.
✅ 2. Eligibility
·Open to all Alberta residents — amateurs, professionals, individuals, and teams.
·There are no age restrictions, but minors under 18 must have a guardian’s permission.
·Board members of the Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society may submit, but will not be eligible to win.
✅ 3. Submission Guidelines
·Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, PDF, or hand-drawn artwork (digital or scanned).
·Limit: One (1) submission per entrant.
·Submission Contact Information: Name, Email, Phone Number should be included with submission.
·Submission Methods:
oEmail: valleyviewagsociety@gmail.com
oDrop-off: Call 780‑524‑3473 to arrange a drop-off at the Valleyview Ag Society Office.
Deadline: All submissions must be received by November 18, 2025, at 11:59 PM MST.
✅ 4. Design Requirements
·Designs should reflect the Society’s values and vision.
·Avoid copyrighted material, or clipart.
·Logos should be adaptable for use on print, web, merchandise, and signage (consider both color and black & white use).
Must be original work and not based on or copied from existing designs.
✅ 5. Judging Criteria
Entries will be judged by the Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society Board of Directors, based on:
Relevance to the Society’s mission and identity
Originality and creativity
Scalability and adaptability
Overall visual impact
No public voting will take place.
✅ 6. Prizes
The winner will receive:
·A 2026 Valleyview Ag Society Membership
·A gift prize (TBA)
·Bragging rights and public recognition on our website, social media, and at public events
✅ 7. Timeline
·Submission Deadline: December 1, 2025
Winner Announced: By December 5, 2025
✅ 8. Ownership & Usage Rights
·All submitted designs must be original and free from copyright infringement.
·The winning design will become the property of the Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society.
·The Society reserves the right to:
oModify the winning design (e.g., layout, font, color)
oUse the design in any and all formats (print, web, merchandise, signage, etc.)
oUse non-winning designs for promotional purposes with designer credit (if permitted).
·The winning designer will be credited where appropriate but relinquishes exclusive rights.
✅ 9. Legal & Liability Clauses
·The Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society reserves the right to cancel, modify, or extend the contest at any time.
·By entering, participants agree to:
oGrant the Society full rights to use the submitted logo if selected
oRelease the Society from any claims arising from their submission
oIndemnify the Society against any legal disputes related to the submitted work
·Personal contact information will be kept confidential and used only for contest-related communication.
