As a member of the community served by Monmouth Medical Center, I support RWJBarnabas Health and Monmouth Medical Center's vision for transforming health care.
The proposed project to modernize facilities and expand health care access for patients includes:
- A state-of-the-art, 252-bed Acute Care Hospital projected to open in 2032 and a Specialty and Cancer Care Outpatient Center on target to open in early 2027, both at the Vogel Medical Campus in Tinton Falls
- Ease of access to the Vogel Medical Campus, near the Garden State Parkway and other major roadways
- Innovative academic medicine, advanced technology and treatments and the latest clinical trials
- Investments to improve and upgrade Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, including a destination Behavioral Health Center for adults and children, continuation of a full-service Emergency Department, observation beds, Imaging Services and Outpatient Surgery
- Access to world-class Cancer Care through RWJBarnabas Health's partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute - New Jersey's only National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center
- Optimal support of healing, recovery and privacy through modern and efficient care spaces, all single patient rooms and green, walkable spaces
Development of the Vogel Medical Campus in Tinton Falls, combined with continued investments in Monmouth Medical Center's Long Branch campus, is essential to increasing access to care for all residents.
I strongly encourage the State Health Planning Board to approve RWJBarnabas Health and Monmouth Medical Center's application.
