    The NYSTIA Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) Committee is launching an initiative to uncover and share the “Untold Stories” that have shaped our communities and our nation. The Untold Stories project is dedicated to uncovering, preserving, and promoting the diverse, often overlooked, and historically marginalized narratives of New York State’s communities and cultural heritage. Its mission is to enrich the tourism landscape by fostering inclusion, authenticity, and deeper understanding, ensuring that every corner of the state has a unique story shared with visitors and residents.

  • We know there are countless stories yet to find their voice, help us uncover those waiting to be shared.  We are hoping to share 250 stories by Spring 2026 to feature in our digital flipbook — a living record that honors the individuals and communities whose voices and impact deserve recognition.
