    The NYSTIA Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) Committee is launching an initiative to uncover and share the “Untold Stories” that have shaped our communities and our nation. This project highlights the meaningful contributions and sacrifices women, black, brown, native, AAPI, the LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities, and marginalized religious, social, and cultural communities have made in the development of our nation—voices too often left out of the broader narrative. We invite you to help us share these important stories. A special thank you to the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB for hosting the platforms that make this project possible.

Our mission is simple yet vital:“To tell the untold stories of the contributions and sacrifices women, people of color, the LGBTQ community, the Jewish community, and people with disabilities have made in the development of our nation.”

    We know there are countless stories yet to find their voice, help us uncover those waiting to be shared.  We are hoping to share 250 stories by Spring 2026 to feature in our digital flipbook — a living record that honors the individuals and communities whose voices and impact deserve recognition.

    Please complete the form below as thoroughly as possible to help us share these stories with accuracy and authenticity. Supporting sources, documents, and images are required to ensure we honor each story with respect and detail.
