The Ada A. Norton Award is named in honor of one of Alpha Sigma Tau's first chapter advisors. Ms. Norton was a Patroness who assisted in advising the Alpha Chapter. She also worked relentlessly to make sure Alpha Sigma Tau met the qualifications to be a National Sorority. She directed the first National Convention and wrote much of our sacred Sorority Ritual. This award was first presented in 1946 at the 8th National Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio.
