We are so excited for you to Strut your Mutt in their PAW-Tastic Costumes! 

Whether you are dressed up in Mardi Gras attire or matching the 5th Annual Theme of Pirates of Pensacola Bay, the judges and the crowd are ready to see your best! There will be two winner's for each category, so please make sure to register your pup for the category you plan to compete in!We are looking for creativity, cuteness, tricks, dance moves, originality, and just FUN!

The costume contest will start at 1:00PM and we will need everyone to start heading towards the stage at 12:45PM!

* Individual Category: 1:00 PM

* Family/Group Category 1:10 PM

* Float Category: 1:20

*Krewe Category: 1:35

Winners will be announced after the paw-rade, at 3:30, so please make sure to head back to the stage area after the paw-rade.

**WHEN YOUR CATEGORY IS ANNOUNCED, PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE STAGE AND WAIT FOR YOUR NAME TO BE CALLED OUT**

**IF YOUR NAME IS CALLED AND YOU DO NOT ENTER THE STAGE, YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR POSITION. NAMES WILL BE CALLED TWICE**

Costume Contest Category Descriptions

** Please note, you can only enter one category**

**A $5 donation is required to secure your costume contest spot. This donation will go directly to the event benefactor, The Escambia County Animal Shelter**

• Individual Entry: This is for any ONE person who wants to get on stage with their dog or dogs. Only one person is allowed to enter this category and walk on stage with their dog. 
  
  **Please note, if you plan to have a float, you must enter the float category, this includes decorated strollers and wagons**
  
  
  
• Family/Group: This is for 2 or more individuals who wants to get on stage with their dog or dogs. This category is reserved for families or groups of friends who want to dress their dogs up to compete in the contest.
  
  **Please note, if you plan to have a float, you must enter the float category, this includes decorated strollers and wagons**
  
  
  
• Float: This is for those of you who are creative and have a decorated wagon/stroller or a decorated float to enter with their dog or dogs. This category can be for any number of people and dogs but MUST HAVE A FLOAT.
  
  **Please note, even if you are a family or individual and plan to have a decorated float, you must enter this category**
  
  
  
• Best Krewe Dog (s): This is open to anyone in an official Mardi Gras Krewe to enter with their dog (s). You can have multiple people and dogs of the same Krewe in this category. Please make sure to list all human and dog names in the space below, that plan to participate in the contest.
