    The New Brunswick Powerlifting Association Presents:

    9th Annual Provincial Championships

    This event will feature both 3-Lift and Bench Only competitions across all age classes in Equipped and Unequipped divisions.

    This is a drug-tested event sanctioned by the Canada Powerlifting (CanPL).

    Registration opens February 5rd and closes March 22nd at 11:59 PM.

    Meet Details

    Age Categories:

    • Youth: 8–13
    • Sub-Junior: 14–18
    • Junior: 19–23
    • Open: 19–59
    • Masters: 40+

    Divisions:

    • 3-Lift (Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift)
    • Bench Only
    • Equipped & Unequipped

    **No qualifying total** is required to compete at the New Brunswick Provincial Championships.

    This event is drug-tested and CanPL-sanctioned, ensuring fair and clean competition for all athletes.

    Event Schedule

    Venue:
    📍 Charles Gorman Arena, Saint John, NB
    📅 May 2 - 3, 2026

    There will be two opportunities to obtain rack heights:

    • The evening before you compete, at the venue
    • Before weigh-ins on the day of your session

    You must be present for your weigh-in. If absent, you will be placed at the end of the line. Lifters not present by the end of weigh-ins will not be permitted to lift.

    Bring the following to weigh-ins:

    • Valid Photo ID (a photo is acceptable)
    • CanPL Membership Card (digital version accepted)
    • True Sport Drug-Free Certificate (digital version accepted)
    • Opening attempts (in kilograms) and rack heights

    • 7:00–8:00 PM – Rack Heights & Rules Meeting (Lifters & Coaches)

    Saturday

    • 6:00 AM – Doors Open / Morning Session Weigh-ins & Equipment Check
    • 8:00 AM – Morning Session Lifting Begins
    • 1:00 PM – Afternoon Session Weigh-ins & Equipment Check / Morning Awards
    • 3:00 PM – Afternoon Session Lifting Begins

    Sunday

    • 6:00 AM – Doors Open / Morning Session Weigh-ins & Equipment Check
    • 8:00 AM – Morning Session Lifting Begins
    • 1:00 PM – Afternoon Session Weigh-ins & Equipment Check / Morning Awards
    • 3:00 PM – Afternoon Session Lifting Begins

              In consideration of accepting this entry, I hereby for myself, heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against: the International Powerlifting Federation, the Canadian Powerlifting Union, the New Brunswick Powerlifting Association and Executive, and sports center, the meet/contest site, sponsor and it's employees, all organizers, volunteers and sponsors of this contest, from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims and demands which may arise in consequence of my participation in this contest. I realize that Powerlifting is a high risk sport and that I could be injured. 

              I certify that I am in good physical health and that I have no serious health problems and that I assume full responsibility for such conditions. I accept that I am fully responsible for my well being and safety in the warm up room, on the lifting platform and while I am competing at this event. I am also aware that I am responsible for the actions of any coach and entourage that attend this contest in my support. 

              I agree that I will follow all restrictions and procedures laid out by the meet directors. 
              I agree that if I am feeling ill, I will not appear at the venue to compete.
              I understand that these restrictions may change up until the day of the competition.
