Please ensure when you register or renew your CanPL Membership that you select the membership option applicable (Elite or Performance). If you have mistakenly selected the wrong membership type (E or P) please email registrar@powerlifting.ca within 24 hours of registration to correct.
- All qualifying totals must be attained by the date of the 21 day weight class cut-off (23:59 AT, August 6, 2026)
- At CanPL National and Regional Championships, the IPF rule of no weight or age class changes within 21 days of the event will be observed. This policy does not apply to Youth athletes.

Age Categories:
- Youth: 8–13
- Sub-Junior: 14–18
- Junior: 19–23
- Open: 19–59
- Masters: 40+
Divisions:
- 3-Lift (Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift)
- Bench Only
- Equipped & Unequipped
- Para Powerlifting
A qualifying total is required to compete at the Eastern Championships. These totals can be found here: https://www.powerlifting.ca/qualifying-standards
Athletes must also ensure they meet their provincial requirements in order to be eligible to compete at this competition. Check in with your provincial association to see if you meet the requirments.
This is a drug-tested competition. Once a lifter has purchased a CanPL membership, they accept the CADP drug-testing procedure IN FULL.

- You must be present for your weigh-in. If absent, you will be placed at the end of the line. Lifters not present by the end of weigh-ins will not be permitted to lift.
Bring the following to weigh-ins:
- Valid Photo ID (a photo is acceptable)
- CanPL Membership Card (digital version accepted)
- True Sport Drug-Free Certificate (digital version accepted)
- Opening attempts (in kilograms) and rack heights
- Warm Up Area is only for lifters and their coach(es).
- Coaching will be limited to one (1) coach per unequipped lifter and two (2) coaches per equipped lifter. No exceptions.
- Coaches and handlers must wear athletic apparel, including athletic attire, close-toed athletic shoes and sport bottoms (No Jeans) while coaching or handling athletes. Hats, sleeveless tops, and any attire that is unclean, torn or is in anyway deemed to be inappropriate by CanPL officials are strictly forbidden.
