Neighborhoods Rising is a leadership and empowerment cohort designed for Black and Hispanic adults who are engaged in their communities. The program strengthens participants' leadership skills, supports their advancement of community initiatives, and fosters meaningful connections. Participants will explore their personal "why", the motivation behind their leadership, and shape a clear vision for creating positive change in the community.
- Expand your understanding of the principles of grass roots leadership
Recognize and develop strategies to expand social capital and personal network
- Cultivate your working relationships with civic, political, and social community leaders
- Identify funding strategies and resources to support their community impact initiative
- Create a personal action plan
Sessions are typically held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, January - May, 5:30pm-8:00pm, in-person, typically at MVCC Utica Campus.
