How it works

1. Prepare and bring 2 dozen of your favourite cookies or treats to the event.
2. Join us at Paper Planes Café on December 9 at 5:30pm with your cookies, labeled with: your name, the name of your cookie, and afull list of ingredients.
3. We’ll mingle from 5:30–6:00pm with warm beverages while all the cookies are set out.
4. When all of the participants have arrived we will provide a tin that you will then fill with 2 dozen assorted sweet treats.

Participant Agreement

I understand that this Cookie Swap involves the sharing and consumption of homemade baked goods prepared by other participants. I acknowledge that:

Food Safety

• The cookies and treats exchanged at this event are not prepared in inspected or licensed kitchens.
• The organizers cannot verify the safety, ingredients, or preparation methods of any items shared.

Allergens and Ingredients

Cookies and treats may contain or have come into contact with common allergens, including but not limited to nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, or other ingredients that may cause allergic reactions.

I am responsible for checking ingredient lists and managing my own allergies or dietary restrictions.

Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with consuming or handling any food obtained at this event, including the risk of illness, allergic reactions, or other adverse effects.

Release of Liability

I release and hold harmless the event organizers, hosts, volunteers, venue, and all participants from any and all liability, claims, or damages that may arise from my participation in this Cookie Swap.

Voluntary Participation

I understand my participation is entirely voluntary and that I may choose not to consume any item if I have concerns about its safety or ingredients.
