    Ride Request
  • We are now hosting two types of rides running in parallel. These are:

    1.      Structured: These rides are typically on Wednesdays and have a known destination and known attendees.

    2.      Freeform: These rides are typically on (I ask those ascribing to this model to choose a day of the week and let me know ASAP) and follow the model used in the past year+ of meeting at the fountain, see who shows up, and decide on the destination at that time.

    • .Section .05 If ground rules checked
    • Ground rules:

      ·       The requester of the ride becomes the default leader of the pack. This may be changed by the participating riders before the ride starts, or at any convenient point during the ride.

      ·       All requests to be submitted via the form at https://tinyurl.com/pmgride25.

      ·       Requests to be submitted Sunday – Friday.

      ·       If a request is for a different day than the typical day for the ride type (see above for this definition), it should be explained in the comments section of the request form. For example, the upcoming Gobble Gallup is a one-of event on a specific Sunday. These exceptional requests are in addition to any ride requested for the week’s typical ride day.

      ·       When a valid request is received, its handling will be as follows:

o   Freeform: An email will be sent to the membership identifying the ride date/time and the initial ride leader.

o   Structured: A Luma event will be created, and this informs the membership of the event. You will need to accept or decline the invitation two days before the ride. For Example, if the ride is for Wednesday, your response is due by Monday evening.

o   If no one accepts the ride by the next morning, Tuesday morning, based on the above example, the ride is cancelled.
